Borås – the city close to nature

Nature is close at hand in Borås; parks, lakes and big forests are all nearby. Borås offers a lot of outdoor opportunities, both near and a bit further away. Whether you like to hike, fish, cycle or perhaps just sit on a tree stump by a bubbling stream, there is something for everyone here. There are a lot of hiking trails in the surrounding of Borås. We have chosen a few of them that are pretty and suitable for a one-day hike, and combined them with good accommodation.

Arrival is on a Friday and on Saturday you hike one of the suggested trails of your choice. They differ somewhat in length and difficulty. You will get a lunch packet to bring from the hotel. On Sunday you can choose to explore another hiking trail, or you can go explore the city with its public art. There are more than a hundred statues, installations and pieces of street art in the city center.

Accommodations at Hotell Solhem Park from SEK 2900/person in double room

Two days of hiking with comfortable accommodation at Hotell Solhem Park in a double room. The hotel is situated in the district of Östermalm – a calm and peaceful area at walking distance from the city center.

Arrival on Friday, check in and you can choose to order dinner for the evening at the hotel. It is served at the hotel restaurant until 9 pm. Saturday morning starts with a hotel breakfast before going on the days adventure. You get a packed lunch at the hotel to bring on your hike. You can also choose to have a guide with you on the hike for a fee. When you are back at the hotel, you can relax in the sauna before dinner is served at the hotel restaurant.
